This journey has been long, lots of ups and downs (weight & emotions :-)

I am proud of always getting back up when I fall, grateful for the resilience and for not giving up on the healthy strong body that I once used to have.

What I eat? Lots of organic veggies, fruits, pastured meats, lots of good dietary fats, juicing. I eat between 1300-1700 calories a day.

I only work out at home – Body Rock, Yoga HIIT, 30DS. And I walk my sweet dawg about 80 miles each month. Love the fresh air.

I am grateful to the Tumblr & MFP community for the never ending source of inspiration and support! You girls (and gents) ROCK!!!!!

I cant believe i looked like that in my first picture, you really never know your that big until you put pictures side by side. My starting weight was 97kg (213lbs) and my current weight is 75kg (165lbs). My goal is to be 65kg (143lbs) as well as being toned. I still have a long way to go but its been worth it this far. xo

Had a AHA MOMENT yesterday. Despite me feeling like death because of the flu, I had to take a mini road trip to Orange County to return my school books. While I was there I stopped at my Brother and Sister-in-laws house to visit my cootie patootie niece. Now, I’ve said many times before to not ask me how much I weigh because numbers do NOT define us or what healthy is. But, I can tell you the last time I had weighed myself was almost a year ago and it was right before I took the pictures on the LEFT – I weighed 151lbs (i’m 5’4). Well, while I was visiting, I decided to weigh myself because I knew they had a scale in their bathroom. That was a HUGE moment for me, I had to remind myself that the numbers mean absolutely nothing to prevent a triggering moment. Before I tell you what I came in at, the pictures on the RIGHT were just taken a few moments ago because I was SHOCKED at what I weighed in at and HAD to do a comparison shot for all of you to PROVE another point that NUMBERS on the scale do NOT define what healthy is. I weighed in at 148lbs yesterday, that’s only a THREE POUND difference between these photos. All the strength training through the squat/ab challenge has definitely caused me to notice some new muscle tone I never had before. I think this proves how much muscle weighs compared to fat.

So, ignore the scale. Listen to your body!

This is about two years apart, April 2011 vs May 2013.

I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been and I feel great!

I still have goals I want to achieve and I’m still working hard to strengthen my body and make it the healthiest it can be!
